FSS SilDerm® EPSQ Gel
• Aesthetic Modification of Emulsion Systems
• Aesthetic Modification of Anhydrous System
SilDerm® EPSQ Gel is a light-weight, plush, gel formulation that dries on the skin as a fluffy powder. This product is best classified as a composite polymer, composed of randomly distributed Polydimethylsiloxane and Polymethylsilsesquioxane (PMSQ) domains. Polydimethylsiloxane is the world’s most common silicone, and thus it is used in a variety of products including, contact lenses, medical devices, and cosmetics. However, due to the interacting chemistry between these polymers, the resulting polymer is significantly different from normal silicone products. It may be incorporated into low viscosity formulations and organic solvents to help maintain bounce.
