RICE SOLUTION

Man has cultivated lemons for so long it is no longer clear when it began. However, it is clear that lemons originally were produced in Asia and slowly propagated westward. Researchers debate if lemons were initially produced in the Malay Archipelago or in the Yunnan province of China. Regardless, lemons are widely cultivated. Citrus limonum is one of the world’s most important food crops. The juice from the fruit is widely used as a beverage and as a condiment. The rind is used to produce lemon oil, while the remaining skin and pulp are commonly utilized as livestock feed.

The medicinal virtue of lemons have long been utilized throughout the beauty industry. Traditionally in cosmetics, lemons have been used as a source of the alpha-hydroxyacid (AHA) citric acid. The most obvious medicinal use of lemon was as a source of vitamins to prevent scurvy. Owing to its high level of vitamins and minerals, fresh lemon juice has been recommended in personal care and cosmetic formulations.

As early as 1986 researchers began demonstrating some interesting properties from the peel of the lemon including antioxidant properties. Antioxidants benefit the skin and hair by reducing the occurrence of free radical damage. This cellular damage may ultimately result in fine lines, wrinkles, and accelerated signs of aging. Lemon peels are also known to assist with anti-inflammatory properties and to reduce the prevalence of inflammation or aging associated with inflammation. Lemon peels have traditionally been used to offer skin-lightening attributes in beauty applications. Organic Lemon RS offers the opportunity to capitalize on the benefits associated with organic lemon in a variety of hair and skin care applications.

Rice Solution (RS) is used as a glycerin alternative due to its moisturizing benefits and viscosity

What is PhytoGenetix®?

The organic personal care and cosmetic market have a unique set of challenges in production and manufacturing of goods, while the consumers are concerned about sustainability and traceability of ingredients. The current advances in biotechnology lead to developments in genomic libraries of botanical species. However, the evaluation of raw material authenticity is absent. PhytoGenetix® provides the solution based on DNA tracing analysis of plants by referencing the global genomic database. PhytoGenetix® successfully verifies the true identity of the plant material used in organic extracts. “Verification of True Plant Identity”
