FSS Tsubaki Oil

FSS Tsubaki Oil or also known as Camellia oil is rich in oleic acid and vitamins A, B, D and E as well as nourishing Omega 3, 6 and 9. The molecular weight of the oil is an almost identical match for skin, allowing it to absorb quickly and thoroughly. Camellia oil has more naturally-occurring antioxidants than almost any other botanically derived oil. FSS Tsubaki oil is cold pressed, but refined.

This flowering plant produces red blooms and is commonly used in formulations such as face, body, and hair oils.

INCI Nomenclature: Camellia Japonica Seed Oil

Appearance: Yellow to Amber Slightly Hazy Liquid

Suggested Use Levels: 1-10%

Manufacturing Method: Cold Pressed, Refined

Solubility: Oil Soluble

Formulating Guidelines: Temperature Stability <80°C 100% Oil Soluble can be used in anhydrous applications such as lip balms or lipsticks or added during the oil phase of an emulsion

Storage: Protected from direct light and humidity at a temperature of 50°-77°F (10°-25°C)

Shelf life: 12 months, properly stored, in sealed container.

This product should be added to a formulation at the recommended usage rate.

My new favorite

Tsubaki oil has quickly become one of my favorite oils for skincare. It's truly silky and isn't a greasy oil--but nor does it feel like a dry oil. Lovely consistency and skin feel.
