Acai Palms (Euterpe oleracea) are native to the tropical Central and South American climates, and it grows from Belize to the south of Brazil and Peru in flood plains and swamps. Named for a Portuguese beverage that is made from the berries, Acai palms are capable of producing two crops of fruit per year. The small, deep purple fruit are similar in appearance to grapes and are known to be rich in antioxidants, they contain anthocyanins, proanthocyanidins and even resveratrol.
FSS Acai Extract BG DRK can be used in a variety of hair and skin care applications to deliver the benefits of acai. The extract is carried out in both water and butylene glycol so it can easily be added to the water phase of a formulation.

Formulating Guidelines: Add to the water phase of formulation.
Storage: Store in a dry place at temperatures not exceeding 32°C. Based on stability studies, the optimum storage temperature for maximization of shelf life is 23 - 25°C. However, it may be stored at temperatures between 16 and 32°C if such specific temperature control is not available. Do not freeze.
Shelf life: 12 months from date of manufacture
