Guava are rich in vitamins including vitamins A and C. A single guava can contain four times more vitamin C than an orange. Vitamins A and C are potent antioxidants often used in cosmetics to reduce free radical damage. This cellular damage ultimately leads to fine lines, wrinkles, and other visible signs of aging on the skin. Vitamins are also known to enhance collagen synthesis and reduce problem skin breakouts. Vitamin A is commonly used in skin care applications to target excessive sebum production resulting in a healthy complexion
The seeds of the fruit are also rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. These essential fatty acids can provide anti-inflammatory properties while also offering additional conditioning benefits. Guava have been traditionally used in herbal medicine for their natural phytonutrients and anti-bacterial properties. Formulating Guidelines: Add to the aqueous or cooling phase of your formulation.
Storage: Protected from direct light and humidity at a temperature of 50°-77°F (10°-25°C)
Shelf life: 12 months from the date of manufacture.
This product should be added to a formulation at the recommended usage rate.
