It may be used in lieu of animal derived proteins as a superior film former to instantly moisturize the skin while also functioning as an anti-aging product to tighten the skin to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Additionally, the increase in the desire for multi-functional products has forced chemists to use a variety of different active ingredients to achieve anti-aging and moisturizing benefits. By using FSS Protein Serum M PF, formulators may create the same anti-aging and moisturizing effects using fewer raw materials. Typical plant derived protein hydrolysates have molecular weights that range between 3,000 and 4,000 Daltons. Although they are capable of moisturizing the skin, the reduced molecular weight fractions are not capable of acting as film formers. Animal derived proteins typically used as film formers have molecular weights in excess of 100,000 Daltons. FSS Protein Serum M PF has a molecular weight of approximately 68,000 Daltons and is therefore not only capable of moisturizing the skin, but also exhibits excellent film forming properties. The film forming properties of FSS Protein Serum M PF also provide an instant tightening and lifting effect and may reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while also helping the skin appear firm.
