FSS Yerba Santa Glycoprotein PF is a unique fermented material that was designed as a natural alternative to synthetics such as silicone elastomer solutions. FSS Yerba Santa Glycoprotein is created by fermenting Yerba Santa (Eriodictyon Californicum) with lactobacillus lactis. Yerba Santa is a desertic plant that is rich in mucopolysaccharides and glycoproteins. By fermenting the leaves of the plant we are capable of breaking down many of the complex bio-molecules found naturally in the plant. We then isolate the more beneficial components such as the naturally occurring glycoproteins which provide unique emollient and moisturizing benefits to the skin.
FSS Yerba Santa Glycoprotein PF is ideal for making the skin feel younger, softer and smoother immediately after application. This unique aesthetic modifier can also be used to reduce tackiness of glycols and some rheological modifiers in finished products. FSS Yerba Santa Glycoprotein PF imparts moisturization and soothing properties, making suitable for skin and hair care formulations.
