Bakuchiol is a phenolic compound separated from the seeds of the Psoraleae family. The structure of bakuchiol is similar to resveratrol and the effect is similar to retinol (Vitamin A), but in light stability, it is better than retinol.

Suggested Applications:

Variety of skincare products targeting aging, pigmentation or inflammation. Creams, lotions, oils, serums.

Formulating Guidelines:

Add into formulation after emulsion with a processing temperature of about 50C. Can also be added into the oil phase of formulation.

pH:

Preferably, finished product must have pH below 6 and must be protected from prolong exposure to heat and light for maintaining product integrity over time.
