Comfrey (Symphytum officinale) has traditionally been used in formulations as a mild astringent, emollient and for its anti‐inflammatory purposes. First cultivated around 400 BC, the plant has a reputation for being a healing herb. The plant is a perennial and has an expansive root system, which is typically harvested for use in herbal remedies. The plant grows red, yellow, white and purple flowers during late spring and summer.
Rice Solution (RS) is used as a glycerin alternative due to its moisturizing benefits and viscosity.
