FSS Decyl glucoside is produced by the reaction (known as esterification) of glucose from corn starch with the fatty alcohol capric alcohol, which is obtained from coconut and/or palm oil. The oil is split and the resultant fatty acids separated and reacted through a process known as hydrogenolysis to form the fatty alcohol. FSS Decyl Glucoside has great foaming properties and is considered Mild. FSS Decyl Glucoside Can be used as the primary surfactant or can be a co-surfactant in cleansing formulas. It is not is comparable with that of a foam obtained using anionic surfactants. For this reason we recommend to combine FSS Decyl Glucoside with our Cocamidopropyl Betaine or Foaming Soy to help improve the foam.
