Wheat, or Triticum vulgare, is a grass that is cultivated worldwide, while its domestication originated in southwest Asia. For its early growth, wheat survives best in cool weather, and it is a highly durable and renewable resource.

Wheat proteins coat the outer layers of the skin, protecting the amino acids within the structure, so the result is firm, vibrant looking skin. Wheat proteins are composed of four different types according to solubility: albumins, globulins, prolamins, and glutelins. Soluble wheat protein is manufactured by the deamidation of wheat glu­ten, which are unique proteins as they provide for storage but are also functional proteins.

FSS DermaPeptide Tightening PF is composed of wheat proteins that have high molecular weights with added func­tional value and higher film-forming effects. FSS DermaPeptide Tightening PF forms a continuous elastic film on the surface of the skin that relieves wrinkles and sagging, and it produces a tightening and firming effect as it enhances the mechanical properties of the skin. This large peptide has been determined as stable within a range of environmental factors, such as a pH range between 2-10 and a temperature range between 40-80°C. FSS Derma­Peptide Tightening PF can be incorporated into all creams, masks, and gels for toning and firming benefits.

FSS DermaPeptide Tightening PF shows immediate tightening effects, and Figure 1 below shows that there is an average increase in skin tightening of 9.46% after 1 hour due to FSS DermaPeptide Tightening PF 5%.
