Background:

For more than 4,000 years the jujuba tree (Ziziphus jujuba) has been cultivated in its native homeland of China. This fruit, also known as the Chinese Date, has potent health benefits. However, this exotic fruit is great for haircare, soap and Lotions & Cream formulations. Jujuba fruit is great for hair care products and soap because it’s naturally high in saponin. Fruits and nuts with high saponin content have been used to create soaps and hair treatments for thousands of years.

Jujuba contains 20 times more vitamin C than any citrus fruit. Jujuba is also rich in calcium, and Vitamins A, B1 and B2, Jujuba works miracles in guarding the skin from the inside, but its nutrients deliver intense moisture, nourishment and protection to the outer skin layers as well. Jujuba fruit is an antioxidant with rejuvenating properties. Antioxidants help defend the body from damaging free radicals. This Asian fruit, Jujuba is believed to encourage cell turnover, improve elasticity and firmness of skin, and reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks.
