Keratin’s helical structure is stabilized by three types of bonds, listed in order of increasing strength: hydrogen, salt, and disulfide bonds. Hydrogen and salt bonds are weak physical bonds that can be disrupted by moisture, heat, or pH changes, while the stronger disulfide bonds are chemical and can only be altered through processes like perming or relaxing. Because keratin molecules are too large to penetrate skin or hair, they are hydrolyzed into smaller amino acids such as glycine, serine, and arginine, which act as humectant conditioners to help maintain optimal moisture balance and improve texture. FSS Keratin Amino Acids 20 PPS, which contains keratin amino acids, can help deliver these benefits to support youthful skin and hair.

Storage:
Store in a dry place at temperatures not exceeding 32°C. Based on stability studies, the optimum storage temperature for maximization of shelf life is 23 - 25°C. However, it may be stored at temperatures between 16 and 32°C if such specific temperature control is not available. Do not freeze.
