Both Amaranth and Quinoa are classified as super foods, which are highly nutritious and easy to cultivate. Unlike most plant sources, the proteins isolated from Amaranth and Quinoa are complete or whole proteins, which means that they contain a proper balance of all the essential amino acids necessary for supporting our dietary needs. Amaranth also contains 30% more protein than cereal grains such as wheat, oats and rye, and is also an excellent source of minerals such as iron, magnesium, phosphorus, copper and manganese. Rice is a dietary staple around the globe. The grain is a source of calcium, phosphorus, potassium, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, niacin and protein. Rice is a popular ingredient in cosmetics, as consumers prefer using ingredients that they recognize and understand to be good for them.

FSS MultiGrain Complex consists of a blend of hydrolyzed quinoa, rice and amaranth proteins. Hydrolyzed proteins are capable of providing moisturizing and film forming benefits for skin and hair care applications. Additionally, due to their hygroscopic nature, hydrolyzed proteins also help to minimize transepidermal water loss (TEWL), which also makes them excellent additions for dry skin applications.
