Honey has been known to do wonders for your skin. You will find many skin care products today that contain honey. It acts as a great anti-aging agent as well as moisturizer. Honey also has the ability to absorb and retain moisture and this helps in keeping the skin well hydrated, fresh and supple. It is known that ancient women used honey and milk to keep the skin youthful, radiant and smooth.

By adding honey to your cosmetic formulation it can create a film on the skin that allows for moisture to be retained and the skin to rehydrate. Honey also contains enzymes, antibacterial agents, amino acids and lactic acids, which help gently purify and exfoliate the skin, without over-drying.
