The White Truffle hails from the Langhe and Montferrat sects of the Piedmont region of northern Italy. Cream flesh encapsulates the truffle, which can reach 12 centimeters in diameter when fruiting during autumn, but are usually much smaller. When sold as a whole truffle, they are considered the most valuable type of truffle on the market, selling for up to $4,500 at the Truffle Fair in Alba, Italy.
