Lauryl Laurate is a plant based mono ester wax that has low-molecular weight. Perfect to use in personal care formulations as emollient slip agent and skin-penetrating agent. It can also replace ester oils in cosmetic formulas to provide a smooth, non-greasy feel. It is an excellent film former (increases substantivity) and has a low melting point helps to increase the stability of cosmetic formulations.
Benefits:
Enhanced emulsion stability. Provides a talc-powder (silicone like) after-feel in some applications. Provides enhanced whiteness in creams and lotions vs. microcrystalline waxes (PE-34 & PE-40). Excellent film former (increases substantivity). Reduces the greasy feel of oil systems. Improves payoff characteristics in sticks (lipstick, AP, etc.)
Compatibility: Laurel Laurate is compatible with most vegetable and mineral waxes, as well as vegetable oils, mineral oils and petrolatum.
